
SVDP NOLA Project - Communications & Fund Development VISTA

The SVDP VISTA Project strengthens long‑term pathways out of poverty by expanding adult education, workforce development, community assistance systems, and organizational sustainability across Southeast Louisiana. VISTA members will build capacity by developing curricula and tools, improving referral and data systems, supporting outreach and partnerships, and creating infrastructure that enhances SVDP’s ability to serve low‑income residents.
Member Duties
The AmeriCorps member will strengthen development, communications, and data systems that support long‑term sustainability. The member will build donor engagement tools, research grant opportunities, and develop fundraising infrastructure to enhance resource generation. They will create communication materials, storytelling content, and messaging frameworks to increase program visibility. The member will also develop systems for collecting and presenting impact data, create reporting templates and dashboards, and document processes to ensure continuity. This work will expand organizational capacity to sustain poverty‑reduction initiatives across Southeast Louisiana.
