The Personal Care Assistant/Home health Aide at Always Best Care Senior Services in Albuquerque, New Mexico is an exciting and rewarding position. As a Personal Care Assistant or HHA, you will be responsible for providing individualized care and support to senior clients in their homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors and their families. We offer a free in-house Home Health Aide certification program that consists of 59 on-line hours, 16 field training hours and a one hour in office test. When completed we offer the same pay as a CNA at $17/hr. We build a schedule around your availability when you are ready to go into the field and will work with you to be able to complete the certification.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication reminders.
Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed.
Complete light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and dishes.
Accompany clients to appointments and outings.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and coworkers.
Document services provided and any changes or concerns in the client's condition.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of personal care and hygiene.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
