DESCRIPTION OF WORK

We are seeking a dependable and organized Clerical Assistant 2 who will provide essential administrative and clerical support within our Nursing Department. Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing, this position helps keep daily operations running smoothly at the nursing station located within the facilities living areas. You will assist staff, support resident needs, and help maintain efficient communication between departments.

Additional responsibilities of this position include:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to nursing staff and medical personnel
  • Review and process forms, records, and other documents; enter information into computer systems
  • Answer phones, relay messages, and maintain communication between departments
  • Assist with resident-related documentation, scheduling, and record updates in the EHR
  • Requisition supplies and help keep the nursing station organized
  • Prepare resident ID bracelets, maintenance work orders, and clinical records for admissions.
  • Provide general support as needed, including training assistance and coverage for other floors
  • Operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, photocopiers, and calculators

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Shift may change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.


Legal Requirements:
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
