Role Description
Full‑time, on‑site Speech Language Pathologist based in the Des Moines Metropolitan Area. The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, and communication disorders, as well as provide treatment for individuals with swallowing difficulties. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, maintaining accurate records, and working closely with patients to achieve their therapy goals.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Speech Therapy techniques and practices, including speech interventions and treatment plans
Experience working with individuals with dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) and related conditions
Knowledge of communication disorders and strategies for effective intervention
Familiarity with the assessment and treatment of language disorders
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or related field
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association)
Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Iowa
CPR certification is a plus
Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment is preferred
