Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center is excited to welcome a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join the Diagnostic Cardiology Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position with a call rotation, offering flexibility while still being part of a dedicated, patient-centered team.
Responsibilities
Perform high-quality diagnostic examinations of the heart using advanced ultrasound techniques, ensuring accurate imaging and reporting.
Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to support patient care and treatment decisions.
Provide cross-coverage and as-needed back-up support to other non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department to maintain seamless operations.
Deliver compassionate patient care by preparing and educating patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.
Maintain equipment, document procedures accurately, and adhere to department protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Adult Echo credentials through either ARDMS or CCI required within 18 months of hire.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and clinical teams.
Previous experience in cardiac sonography preferred but not required - we provide a supportive environment for growth and learning.
Experience
1-2 years Cardiac Echo Sonography experience.
License and Certification
Adult Echo Credentials (via ARDMS or CCI).
Driver's License - DMV.
Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA.
