Overview
Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Electrical Installer to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety with minimal guidance as needed. You will work closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation support and training. As an Electrical Installer, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.
Responsibilities
Install, program, test, repair, and service systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation with minimal guidance as needed.
Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repair equipment using knowledge of electronics and standard test instruments and hand tools.
Provide basic installation assistance as directed by project lead.
Act as the customer’s best service provider at all times to ensure Convergint Technologies is the customer’s first choice for service.
Take ownership of on-site projects including safety, quality, and performance; observe and practice Convergint Quality Standards.
Suggest installation methods to improve profitability and quality.
Learn and progress through the Trade Program (Electrical Installer I to III).
Provide feedback to the Job-Lead regarding problems and time estimates; act as primary liaison to the Project Lead.
What You’ll Need
Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.
Solid construction skills and understanding of system plans; blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Ability to read blueprints and drawings; math skills for calculations as needed.
Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude with proficiency using hand and power tools; ability to read and interpret specifications.
Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to provide basic hand tools as required to perform daily tasks.
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Requirements
Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years in electronic security industry
Previous construction experience including some electrical or low voltage background
Preferred Experience (but Not Required)
Relevant trade designation (e.g. Electrician)
Experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
Experience with Axis / Bosch / DMP / Lenel / Software House
Certifications & licenses: PMI or industry-specific certifications
