The Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor) works independently in a traveling field role in support of The Home Depot's Field Services Organization. The role focuses on providing quality professional customer service that consistently meets or exceeds company standards and customer expectations. Responsibilities include performing in-home measurement appointments, creating and maintaining customer relationships, supporting sales and product inquiries, taking measurements, coordinating installations within the Measurement Services center, and delivering a positive customer experience through accurate measurements, calculations, quote review, and presentation. The associate primarily travels to appointments within a pre‑defined geographical area, with occasional support of company locations, using company‑issued devices. The position focuses on meeting service goals such as customer service, measurement accuracy and timeliness, and sales productivity, and reports directly to the Assistant Market Manager.
Key Responsibilities
60% Appointment Measures – Complete daily routes for pre‑assigned measure appointments efficiently and accurately.
4% Collaboration – Cooperate with associates, supervisors, and managers to complete all other work activities as assigned.
1% Compliance – Follow all policies, procedures, and adhere to the work schedule.
35% Customer Service – Ask customers open‑ended questions, listen to their project and product needs, describe product features and benefits, demonstrate product and service knowledge, and identify opportunities to engage customers in additional services programs.
