Metal Mold Engineering
team designs and produces precision plastic injection molds for production using CAD/CAM software, CNC mills, and manual tools, while also maintaining molds and supporting other departments across the company. The Metal Mold Service Technician supports jewelry manufacturing by maintaining and finishing molds used in production. This role focuses on precision work, quality checks, and safe operation of tools and equipment to ensure molds meet performance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Stone, polish, sand, buff, and lap molds to required specifications.
Select and shape ceramic pencil stones for mold finishing work.
Review and quality check plastic injections for accuracy and consistency.
Stamp molds and prepare mold components according to job requirements.
Pour, shape, and stamp leads following established procedures.
Identify quality or process issues and support improvements.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety guidelines.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
General knowledge of shop and machine operation safety practices
Ability to use precision measuring tools
Experience using hand tools such as gravers, torches, punches, stamps, flexshaft tools, and ceramic pencil stones
Strong attention to detail and quality
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in mold service, metal finishing, or manufacturing environments
Familiarity with plastic injection processes or mold‑related equipment
