The role involves contacting insurance companies about past-due bills, entering Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), conducting follow-up on unpaid claims, and ensuring that collections are maximized. Candidates should possess a minimum of 1-2 years of medical collections experience, an understanding of medical records, EOBs, as well as knowledge of HMO’s and PPO’s.
