Work Schedule and Shift Premiums
Night shift
As a casual / per diem employee, hours vary based on the needs of the department
2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour; 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hour; weekend premium is an additional $2.00/hour
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
Has attained certification (CRT) or registry (RRT) in Respiratory Therapy and is licensed to provide respiratory care in the state of Michigan, or a Respiratory Technician working towards certification
Responsibilities
Performs diagnostic testing which may include EKG, Holter Monitors, Event monitors, ABG, PFT, GXT and EEG
Treats patients using oxygen or oxygen mixtures, aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
Administers medication to patients via NMT/MDI/DPI
Performs pulmonary clearance procedures on patients utilizing PEP, Vest and CPT
Charts response and progress of therapies administered in EMR. Appropriate documentation of education and Care Plan
Educates patients on how to use equipment and medication
Performs set up and monitoring of ventilator and BIPAP patients, including suctioning and airway maintenance
