DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 1, you will be responsible for ensuring that IT and related Commonwealth policies are adhered to by enterprise architects, application designers, product owners, and other stakeholders associated with the CEDC. Your contributions will guide teams as they navigate IT requirements and build solutions that support environmental goals. In this role, you will perform the following duties:
- Policy Exception Oversight: Serve as the CEDC expert on the IT policy exception review process and manage the flow of exception requests
- Documentation Management: Prepare justification materials, complete required forms, and track request progress through the review process
- Compliance Monitoring: Maintain an inventory of IT policy exceptions, monitor expiration dates, and coordinate renewals for approved policy exceptions
- Project Intake Guidance: Serve as the primary authority for the CEDC IT project intake process and submit requests through the enterprise intake system
- Requirements Facilitation: Use designated software compliance tools to ensure requirements to obtain code scans are included and completed
- Consultation and Support: Provide guidance to teams and partners on project design and development to improve compliance with IT policies and reduce the need for exceptions

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration; or
- Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
