Quantum Installation Group is currently recruiting for experienced carpenters. This is an entry level position and requires 1-2 years of knowledge in the commercial construction environment or equivalent. A carpenter should possess certain skill traits and be able to assist with installation of the following: metal stud & drywall, light concrete, floor tile, plastic laminate, commercial doors and hardware, shelving systems, wood fixtures/cabinets, wood trim, paint/caulk. Extensive travel is required, including out of state. All travel accommodations are provided by the company. Hourly wage $15.00 to $20.00.
Position requirements include having good tool knowledge to safely operate hand and power tools. You must own and maintain a personal tool box containing hammers, screwdrivers, power drill, bits, clamps, sawzall, skilsaw, and etc. Strong relationship and communication skills. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, clients, customers and deal tactfully with the public. Ability to perform repetitive bending, standing for 8+ hours, walking and push/pull/lift materials up to 50 pounds. Must be comfortable working at any height. Comfortable using powered lift equipment i.e. forklift, scissor lift, etc. Able to frequently walk, stand, bend, twist, climb, kneel, see, and otherwise move as necessary to perform essential functions. Must have travel flexibility and be available to be on the road for extended days or weeks (company paid hotel/mileage/expense/meal per diem). Work will be performed at any time of the day or night. Work may occur anywhere in the United States. Maintains valid driver's license and maintains a driver record acceptable under the provisions of Quantum Installation Vehicle Policy. Exceptional planning, organizational, planning and problem solving skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Maintain a safe, clean and efficient project work site. Enforce safety and job site standards. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Accurate project reporting, including but not limited to time cards, project completion status, changes in scope of work requested by customer, as well as provide before and after photos. Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of company systems.
