Job Description
The packaging manager is responsible for increasing customer trust and loyalty by offering a precise, fast, and courteous checkout process. This person effectively packs customer purchases and streamlines the checkout to vehicle flow.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist, and thank customers quickly, courteously, and amicably.
Help customers unload purchases on the conveyor belt at the checkout. Pack customer purchases in a way that avoids damage, carry or push groceries in a shopping cart to the customers vehicle and load groceries into the vehicle.
Verify the price of merchandise in all departments as needed.
Restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and keep supply costs low.
Place discarded or returned merchandise. Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and other areas and return them to the designated area.
Keep the work area clean, tidy, and free of safety hazards; report to management about faulty equipment and hazards.
Notify management about associate thefts, customer thefts, unauthorized discounts, property defacement, or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy. Perform other job-related tasks assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum
Meet the legal and company policy requirements regarding age for performing job functions.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it.

Frequently, the employee must carry, push, or lift up to 100 pounds and pull up to 150 pounds. Occasionally, the employee must sit, balance, crouch, kneel, crawl, reach objects at waist height or above the head, and climb up to 10 feet.
