Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures, selecting and passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon and scrub team
Maintain accurate instrument and sponge counts; handle specimens and communicate discrepancies promptly
Assist with positioning, prepping, and draping of patients; support safe patient transfer as needed
Set up, organize, and break down surgical trays and equipment; ensure proper aseptic technique throughout procedures
Assist the surgical team with instrument handling, suctioning, and preparation for closure; document intraoperative events as required
Requirements
Minimum 2 years CST experience
NCCT certification required
Active CST credential per NCCT
Ability to work in an operating room setting and participate in a travel assignment
Eligibility to work in the United States
