General Clerk III

RiverTech is hiring a General Clerk III to support the WHS contract in Alexandria, VA. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! Responsibilities include preparing and distributing required documents for the Supply warehouse functions, preparing reports of discrepancy when required, maintaining inventory listing of consumable assets, assisting inventory with cycle inventory, validating zero balance and maintaining good housekeeping, being familiar with Remedy and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) training as required for applicable sections, performing warehouse stock clerk job requirements according to OSD/government regulations, providing quality work performance in accordance with applicable DOD and Joint Service directives and instructions as well as local standards and guidelines, performing forklift operation, pallet jack operation, packaging, and warehousing of assets, reviewing on-hand balances/replenish, deliver, and bin applicable items, reviewing, scheduling and conducting inventory of assets with the organizations, providing service to Department Of Defense (DOD) components and other authorized customers, explaining turn-in procedures, explaining to generating activities DRMO procedures, receiving excess, surplus, non-salable material, and other authorized turn-ins from generating activities, inspecting and classifying property, verifying identity and quantity, segregating disposal condition codes, maintaining property accountability, and providing or arranging for adequate covered storage space to maintain the value and condition of property, storing all in-warehouse supply and equipment items, selecting items to be issue, shipped, or transferred, issuing oldest items first if they are under dated item control, maintaining property accountability of all assets in warehouse, timely completion and accuracy of all work, working closely and harmoniously with other employees, contract requirements, safety and health regulations, and company policies, and performing all other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications include being a US citizen, having a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, having a working knowledge of Microsoft, Windows, Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook, being able to use Supply Chain Management Automated Data Systems (ADS) systems i.e. Remedy and DPAS, having the ability to lift 50 lbs. or more when required, general working knowledge of material handling equipment (MHE) is strongly preferred, being required to properly wear personal protective equipment when necessary, being a team player; ability to communicate effectively, having the ability to read, write, speak and understand English, and having the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Desired qualifications include completion of Supply Career Development Course (CDC) 7-Lvl, 2S071, and forklift work experience - strongly desired.
Work conditions include work may be performed both indoors and outdoors, outdoor work is subject to extreme temperatures, noise, and inclement weather conditions and other conditions determined by the nature of the job, and tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard, and cement structures and surfaces.
