Customer Service & Operations Specialist

Kansas City, MO | Fully Onsite Full-Time | Direct Hire | up to $27ph. LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a client who is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service & Operations Specialist to support daily banking operations while delivering exceptional service to clients. This role serves as a critical link between customers, Branch staff, and internal operationsensuring transactions are processed accurately, issues are resolved efficiently, and regulatory standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate combines strong customer service skills with a solid understanding of banking operations, compliance, and process support.
Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Client Support

Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to accounts, transactions, and banking services
Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently, escalating complex matters when appropriate
Educate customers on banking products, services, and digital tools to enhance their overall experience
Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and follow up on open items

Banking Operations & Transaction Support

Process routine and complex transactions including deposits, transfers, ACH/wires, account maintenance, and exception items
Support daily operational workflows to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
Conduct account research and assist with reconciliations, adjustments, and operational reports
Partner with internal teams (Branches, compliance, loan operations) to ensure smooth end-to-end processes

Qualifications:

High school diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field preferred
2+ years of experience in banking, financial services, customer service, or operations
Strong understanding of banking products, transaction processing, and operational procedures
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with banking systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
