ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs simple, repetitive cleaning tasks to maintain assigned areas of the nursing facility in a clean, orderly and attractive condition according to written and/or verbal instructions and standard housekeeping.
Dusts furniture, floors, window sills, ceilings, corners, etc., as assigned.
Washes beds, furnishings, nursing stations, resident rooms, showers, pantries, equipment, etc., with prescribed cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent spread of disease.
Empties trash baskets, picks up litter, and arranges furniture and equipment as required.
Scours and polishes sinks, tubs, and dispensable items and relines trash barrels.
Returns unused supplies and equipment to designated areas. Cleans and replaces carts and equipment at end of shift.
Vacuums assigned areas.
Empties trash and takes to compactor as required.
Stocks resident rooms with paper products, toiletry items, and gloves.
Conducts walk-through inspection of assigned area/unit at designated intervals during shift to check status of cleanliness
eatness.
