Responsibilities
Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and others in a position to understand service requirements.
Maintains nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Assures quality of care by developing and interpreting hospital and nursing division philosophies and standards of care.
Maintains and manages nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training nurses and auxiliary staff.
Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families and promoting patient independence.
Protects patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection‑control policies; enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Maintains documentation of patient care services by auditing records and monitoring confidential information processing.
Achieves financial objectives and ensures emergency equipment availability, nursing supplies, and preventive maintenance requirements.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge and fosters a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
BSN required.
BLS and ACLS certification.
MSN preferred.
2–5 years of experience in nursing or a relevant area, including experience in Basic Dysrhythmia.
HRO training.
