Overview
Freese and Nichols is seeking an
Internal Communications Specialist
to lead how we communicate about benefits, career development, wellness and other people-focused topics. You will be a member of the corporate PR/Communications team and work closely with Human Resources leadership to shape messaging, identify communication needs and drive campaigns that engage our 1,400 employees.
This position is open in the following office locations: Austin, Fort Worth, Frisco, Houston, San Marcos, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Rogers, AR; Tampa, FL; and Charlotte, Raleigh, and Winston-Salem, NC.
Responsibilities
Lead the planning and execution of internal communications about employee benefits; organizational development and career architecture; wellness; talent acquisition; policy updates; and related topics
Partner with HR to identify communication needs, clarify objectives and recommend messaging strategies
Translate HR topics into clear, relevant communications that improve employee understanding and participation
Manage communication campaigns with multiple stakeholders and contributors
Write and edit for a range of internal channels, including articles, newsletters and presentation materials
Track engagement and performance and adjust approaches accordingly
Contribute to additional PR/Communications efforts as needed
Qualifications
6+ years of professional experience in communications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English or related discipline
Ability to take initiative and proactively develop solutions
Preferred
Experience in internal communications related to benefits/HR
Professional certification, such as Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM), Communication Management Professional (CMP), or Accreditation in Public Relations (APR)
