Pricing & Product Information Specialist

Primary Purpose
The Pricing & Product Information Specialist is responsible for the accurate setup, maintenance, and management of pricing, product, and vendor program data within the ERP system. This role supports margin integrity, product lifecycle management, and data accuracy across sales, purchasing, supply chain, and marketing through pricing analysis, reporting, and product information management.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities
Pricing & ERP Management

Set up and maintain pricing for new and existing products, including purchase prices, sales prices, standard costs, and price levels within ERP.

Manage automated and ancillary charges such as tariffs, brokerage, import fees, and vendor handling fees.

Maintain customer quote pricing, contracts, rebates, accruals, promotions, and agency programs in ERP.

Support annual and ad‑hoc pricing reviews to ensure pricing remains competitive and aligned with market conditions.

Reporting & Analysis

Maintain and update pricing tools and reports, including margin analysis, expiring quotes, manual overrides, and price discrepancies.

Perform ongoing purchase vs. sales price evaluations to ensure actual costs align with ERP costs and identify required price updates.

Complete third‑party and statutory reporting, including commissions and regulatory submissions.

Product Information & Management

Set up and maintain new and existing products in ERP, including regulatory profiles, technical data, and product categorization.

Manage product lifecycle status and collaborate with internal stakeholders on product portfolio decisions.

Support forecasting setup for new products and maintain procurement attributes such as order settings and transfer multiples.

Coordinate tariff classification and cost impact analysis for imported products.

Vendor & Program Support

Set up, track, reconcile, and report on vendor rebates, cost support programs, warranties, and promotional agreements.

Produce supplier sales and program performance reporting as required.

Internal Support & Communication

Provide pricing communications and customer‑specific price lists in support of the sales team.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and external vendors.

Support web product content setup and ongoing product information updates.

Interface With

Sales Team – Pricing support, quotes, margin analysis

Purchasing / Buyers – Cost tracking, pricing updates, new product setup

Supply Chain – Tariffs, forecasting, product lifecycle decisions

Marketing – Product content, promotions, reporting

Finance / Leadership – Pricing oversight, margin integrity, program reconciliation

Vendors / Suppliers – Programs, rebates, reporting and reconciliation

Requirements
Specialized Knowledge/Skills

Strong understanding of pricing structures, margin analysis, and ERP data management.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to manage large data sets.

Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced use of MS Excel.

Education/Training

Post‑secondary education in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Previous experience in pricing, analytics, product management, or ERP‑based roles is preferred.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
