Job Description
Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Legal Assistant to support a busy Commercial Litigation team. This role blends traditional litigation support with executive-level administrative responsibilities, including direct assistance to senior leadership. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and can manage competing priorities with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys, including senior partners
Manage complex calendars, coordinate meetings, and handle scheduling logistics
Prepare, revise, and format legal documents with a high level of accuracy
Maintain and organize case files (both digital and physical) for easy access and compliance
Coordinate client communications and serve as a professional point of contact
Assist with court filings at the state and federal level, including electronic submissions
Compile materials for hearings, depositions, and trials, including exhibits and binders
Conduct conflict checks and assist with new matter intake processes
Draft routine correspondence and manage time-sensitive mailings and filings
Provide executive support to leadership, including meeting coordination and confidential administrative tasks
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in legal support, preferably within litigation
Experience with e-filing in state and federal courts
Background supporting executives or senior leadership is a plus
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
High attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting
May be required to work overtime
