Plant Health Care Specialist / Arborist
Adaptive Plant Health and Weed Solutions, Tempe, AZ, United States
Overview
Adaptive Plant Health and Weed Solutions | Phoenix, AZ (On-Site)
At Adaptive Plant Health and Weed Solutions, we focus on one thing:
keeping trees and landscapes alive in the harsh Arizona environment.
We use science-based plant healthcare, soil biology, and water optimization strategies to help HOAs, commercial properties, and high-end residential clients improve tree health while reducing water use.
We’re not a typical landscape company—we diagnose problems, build long-term solutions, and fix what others miss.
About Us
Position Overview
We’re looking for a
motivated, hands-on Plant Health Care Specialist
who wants to build a career in arboriculture and plant health.
This is a
growth-focused role —ideal for someone with some experience in landscaping, tree care, or plant health who is ready to take the next step and learn advanced diagnostics, treatment planning, and client communication.
You’ll work directly with leadership to develop your skills and grow into a higher-level consulting role over time.
What You’ll Do
Assist with tree and plant health evaluations across commercial and residential properties
Learn to diagnose common issues (nutrient deficiencies, pests, disease, irrigation problems)
Support and eventually help develop plant health care treatment programs
Work alongside our PHC team on applications and field services
Communicate with clients and help explain recommendations in a clear, professional way
Maintain accurate job notes, treatment records, and site observations
What We’re Looking For
Some experience in landscaping, tree care, nursery work, or plant health care
Strong interest in learning arboriculture, soil health, and plant diagnostics
Hard-working, dependable, and coachable
Comfortable working outdoors in Arizona conditions
Good communication skills and a professional attitude with clients
ISA Certification (or willingness to obtain—we will help you get there)
Compensation & Growth
Base Salary: $50,000 – $85,000 (depending on experience)
Performance bonuses available as skills and responsibilities grow
Company vehicle provided after training
Ongoing training and certification support (including ISA certification)
Hands-on mentorship and real career development
Why This Role is Different
This is not a typical “spray tech” or maintenance role.
You’ll be trained in:
Tree and plant diagnostics
Soil health and biostimulants
Water management strategies
Advanced plant health care treatments
If you want to build a real career—not just a job—this is the opportunity.
