Course description:
This course provides students with a conceptual understanding of the research process, from topic selection and purpose statements, literature reviews, ethical considerations, designs, analysis, and interpretation. As a complement to KPE291H1, the course emphasizes the theoretical frameworks of qualitative research methodology, research principles across paradigms of inquiry, and qualitative research methods and techniques that apply to the study of exercise science and kinesiology. This course also focuses on mixed methods research, participatory action research, and knowledge translation.

Qualifications
PhD preferred in a relevant area, or a combination of relevant expertise and experience.
Teaching experience in a college or university setting is an asset.
Duties
All duties associated with the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours; supervising TAs assigned to the course, if applicable. This course will be taught in person.
