Job Summary
We are seeking a Patient Food Services Manager to oversee patient meal service operations in a healthcare setting in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Key Responsibilities
Establish goals and oversee implementation of patient food services based on medical direction and patient population.
Hire, direct, coach, train, and develop patient service team members.
Comply with dietary restrictions on special or modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guideline limits.
Ensure patient services staff assists in achieving stated patient satisfaction goals.
Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.
Participate in, or lead, patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
Qualifications
Associate degree with one (1) year of experience in food services or a related field, or bachelor’s degree in food service technology/management or a related field.
Certified Dietary Manager certificate, Registered Diet Technicians, or Registered Dietitians, preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in food service management preferred in an acute care setting.
ServSafe® certification desirable.
Efficient use of Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records, and diet office systems.
