Spine Surgeon Independent Contractor

Job Summary
We are seeking an orthopedic spine surgeon to serve as a 1099 independent contractor, providing on‑site care for approximately 4‑hour shifts weekly or biweekly to complement your current practice. The role focuses on managing complex patients, facilitating return‑to‑work, and collaborating with providers and employers on both surgical and non‑surgical treatment of work‑related injuries.
Responsibilities
Provide on‑site orthopedic spinal care, including pre‑operative, operative, and post‑operative management.
Manage complex cases of spine injuries and degenerative conditions, focusing on return‑to‑work outcomes.
Collaborate with employers, occupational physicians, and other providers to design surgical and non‑surgical treatment plans for work‑related injuries.
Coordinate with insurance carriers and employers to ensure compliance and timely documentation.
Qualifications
Licensed MD or DO.
Board certification or eligibility in orthopedic spine surgery.
Experience with work‑related injuries is strongly preferred.
Current professional malpractice insurance coverage.
Compensation & Schedule
Compensation is based on a revenue‑share model. The schedule is flexible, allowing work to complement your current practice. The position is offered on a 1099 independent contractor basis.
