
Adjunct Instructor, Transitional Biology

Job Responsibilities
Teaching and designing course content, assessing student learning outcomes, and providing feedback to students to ensure their success.
Supporting the mission of the college by helping students achieve their academic goals and prepare them for future academic and professional pursuits.
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters open communication and constructive feedback.
Collaborating with other faculty members to ensure that curriculum and instruction are aligned with program and college-level goals.
Participating in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of the field.
Providing excellent instruction that supports the academic success of students and the goals of the department and college.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
Baccalaureate degree in Biology or Chemistry, or Secondary Science Education with a concentration in Biology, and demonstrated competence in the teaching discipline.
Experience teaching secondary level courses in person and online.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in any discipline with 18 graduate semester hours in the Biological or Chemical Sciences, and demonstrated competence in the teaching discipline at the secondary education level.
Experience teaching in person and online.
Additional Comments
The candidate must be available to teach a face-to-face lab during the evening at the Cherokee County Campus and teach the lecture online.
