Riverwalk Post‑Acute is seeking an
experienced Admissions / Desk Nurse
to support our high‑volume skilled nursing facility. This role is designed for a confident, highly organized nurse who has
hands‑on experience independently managing multiple admissions
and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
Pay Range
$29.00 - $34.00 per hour, DOE
Position Overview
This is a
critical admissions‑focused role
responsible for coordinating, processing, and managing concurrent admissions—particularly during peak afternoon hours. Afternoon admission volume may range from
3-8 admissions , and prior experience handling this workload independently is required.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage and process
multiple admissions simultaneously
Complete admission assessments, documentation, and physician orders accurately and efficiently
Coordinate with hospital partners, discharge planners, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with facility policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements
Maintain organization and workflow in a
high‑volume, time‑sensitive environment
Act as a clinical resource for admissions support and operational flow
Required Qualifications
Active
California LVN license
in good standing
Proven experience as a Desk Nurse and/or Admissions Nurse
in a skilled nursing facility
Demonstrated ability to
handle high admissions volume independently
Strong documentation, time‑management, and organizational skills
Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining resident safety and accuracy
Professional, accountable, and team‑oriented approach
