
Client Service Leader – USACE Civil Works Programs

Seeking highly qualified professional to lead and expand CDM Smith’s existing portfolio with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in support of its civil works mission. CDM Smith, a full-service firm, has served USACE for over 30 years through diverse contracts covering planning, engineering, design, construction, and extensive support in developing decision support and data management systems. The successful candidate will foster growth by aligning CDM Smith’s core competencies with USACE priorities and funding as well as expanding new digital solutions into the AEC portfolio.
**The position can be based out of Texas, Northeast, or mid-Atlantic regions of the U.S. We offer in office, hybrid or remote working environments allowing for flexible work options.**
As a Client Service Leader (CSL), You Will Collaborate With Clients, Devise Strategic Partnerships And Develop Comprehensive Solutions In Support Of USACE’s Civil Works Mission. This Will Include Seeking New Business Opportunities And Leading Proposal Development Activities That Incorporate Existing Planning, Engineering, And Construction Services With New Digital Solutions And Digital Analytics. As a Member Of Our High-performing Team, You Will Contribute To CDM Smith's Federal Mission By
Serving as the client-facing representative by keeping attune to agency initiatives, budgeting, programming, legislation, and organizational changes.
Identifying and developing new business opportunities with USACE and support pursuits of major civil works and infrastructure projects nationwide, including flood risk management, coastal storm risk management and other USACE mission areas.
Leading strategic business development efforts (office meetings, capabilities presentations, webinars, etc.).
Possessing an established business network (client decision-makers and teaming partners).
Serving as capture manager for proposal efforts to include managing and communicating amongst a diverse team of technical experts and marketing professionals.
Engaging with Program and Project Managers that will result in the delivery of quality projects that meet scope, schedule, budget and quality commitments to maintain client satisfaction.
Maintaining awareness of federal marketplace related to business opportunities, including competitors, partners, and subcontractors/subconsultants.
Contributing to firm's stature by actively participating in leadership roles in professional societies and associations.
Minimum Qualifications
15 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous related work experience with USACE Civil Works programs.
Prior experience working for USACE or serving USACE as a consultant.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), American Institute of Architects (AIA) or other recognized registration.
