The Elisabeth Morrow School, a leader in education from early childhood through middle school, seeks a Manager of Advancement Operations and Systems to lead the data systems, reporting, and operational infrastructure that support the school’s advancement program.

This role oversees the advancement database, gift processing, reporting, and analytics that enable effective fundraising and donor engagement. The Manager of Advancement Operations and Systems ensures the integrity and strategic use of advancement data while providing insights that inform fundraising strategy and institutional decision-making.

Reporting to the Chief Strategy and Advancement Officer, the Manager of Advancement Operations and Systems plays a key role in strengthening the school’s philanthropic program through strong systems management, accurate reporting, and data‑driven insights. The role also provides executive and operational support to the Chief Strategy and Advancement Officer, including coordinating schedules, preparing meeting materials, and supporting the planning and execution of advancement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities Advancement Operations & Office Management

Provide operational and administrative support to the Chief Strategy and Advancement Officer, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating departmental priorities, and preparing materials for advancement‑related meetings and initiatives.

Oversee operational processes that support the effective functioning of the Advancement Office.

Coordinate advancement‑related budgeting and expense tracking in collaboration with the Business Office.

Support internal advancement team operations, including coordinating planning meetings.

Maintain operational needs of the Advancement Office, including monitoring office supply inventory and coordinating purchasing as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and operational initiatives.

Advancement Systems & Database Management

Serve as the primary administrator of the advancement database, Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, ensuring data integrity, accurate constituent records, and effective database management practices.

Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to advancement data management and database use.

Oversee data imports, data cleanup processes, and ongoing database maintenance to ensure the accuracy of constituent records.

Coordinate data integration between Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and other platforms used for fundraising and events.

Provide training and support to advancement staff on effective use of the database and reporting tools.

Gift Processing & Financial Reporting

Oversee the accurate and timely recording of all philanthropic contributions, including gifts, pledges, matching gifts, stock transfers, wire transfers, and in‑kind donations.

Ensure timely donor acknowledgments and proper documentation of gifts.

Prepare reports for the Business Office related to philanthropic revenue, including monthly and annual reconciliations.

Provide reports and documentation required for annual audits and tax filings, including Form 990.

Collaborate with advancement colleagues to maintain accurate and timely gift entry, appeals tracking, and donor recognition processes.

Advancement Reporting, Analytics & Institutional Data

Develop and produce fundraising reports and dashboards that track participation, giving trends, and campaign performance.

Prepare reports for advancement leadership, the Board of Trustees, and the Advancement Committee.

Provide data analysis and insights that support donor pipeline development and fundraising strategy.

Prepare and verify donor recognition lists for the Annual Report and other advancement publications.

Support prospect management and donor pipeline tracking by maintaining accurate prospect records, tracking cultivation and solicitation activity, and providing reporting that helps advancement leadership prioritize donor engagement and fundraising opportunities.

Support advancement communications and fundraising campaigns by providing accurate segmentation lists and reporting.

Coordinate event‑related data within the advancement database, including tracking invitations, RSVPs, and attendance.

Prepare institutional advancement reports, including DASL reporting, and support other benchmarking and data reporting needs.

Conduct research and prepare prospect briefings to support donor cultivation and engagement.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in advancement, development, or fundraising.

Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, including donor segmentation, reporting, data analysis, and data integrity management.

Demonstrated success collaborating with internal partners and managing relationships with external vendors.

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate strategy into compelling donor‑facing messaging.

High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment; ability to build trust with donors, volunteers, and senior leadership.

Willingness and availability to attend on‑campus and off‑campus events as needed.

Compensation and Incentives
The annual salary for this position is expected to range from $75,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
