Job Designation:
The Quality Inspector 2 position directly supports the Production Departments through incoming inspection of purchased components and final inspection of finished assemblies and components
Conducts inspections of products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality standards
Performs visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
Visual inspections of soldered assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards, and harness assemblies.
Creates & reviews First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) IAW AS9102
Issues Authorized Release Certificates/Tags
Approximately 75% sitting and 25% standing/walking about in‑door company facilities.
Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side‑to‑side.
Must have knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, assembly drawings, parts lists, workmanship standards, standard inspection procedures, wiring diagrams and be able to add tolerances using decimals, etc.
Technical knowledge of Aerospace standards for First Article Inspection Reports, AS9102.
Qualifications:
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience (Aerospace and Electronics environments preferred).
