Role Summary
Hera Technologies is seeking a highly skilled
Senior Quality Inspector
to support inspection and quality assurance activities in a regulated aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an experienced quality professional with a strong background in inspection, documentation, and compliance who thrives in a hands‑on capacity.
The Senior Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements through detailed inspection processes, accurate documentation, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in‑process, final, and receiving inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications including GD&T
Conduct and document First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102
Identify, document, and track nonconformances; support root cause analysis and corrective actions
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of inspection records and quality data
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and participating as needed
Verify compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards and internal procedures
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues
Perform inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, etc.)
Assist with maintaining calibration records and inspection equipment control
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends and recommending process improvements
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
5+ years of hands‑on inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace/defense strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality standards
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T
Experience performing First Article Inspections (AS9102)
Experience with nonconformance reporting and corrective action processes
Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using CMM equipment and inspection software
Familiarity with ERP or quality management systems
Experience supporting internal and external audits
Knowledge of aerospace materials and special processes
Exposure to government or defense contract requirements

Full Time, Salaried Exempt
Hours:
Core hours, Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
Base Location:
Cape Canaveral, FL
Travel:
As needed for customer site visits
