Job Summary
The Import Manager is responsible for Customs compliance, growth of business, development and profitability of the department in accordance with the annual business plan and budgets.
Essential Functions
Assumes accountability for:
Customs compliance/statements and best operational practices
Employee development goals, performance, productivity and morale
Customer service levels, business development and growth
Meeting/exceeding all corporate performance KPIs
Accurate billing practices
Responsible for profitability through:
Budget monitoring
Cash flow analysis (A/R, COTS, ACH, Open Job)
Performance monitoring (Radar reports)
Market/customer analysis
Preparation of quotations for new/existing business
Responsible for all regulatory issues within the department such as classifications, port entry and problem resolution, coordinated under the direction of the Regional Compliance Manager.
Provide sales support as necessary.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years industry experience, 2 in a managerial/supervisory position
2 years of college and/or an additional 2 years of industry experience
Knowledge of Transportation industry, Import/Global transportation/Regulatory and business development
Standard hours and additional time as necessary
A current CHB license is required and candidate is expected to be an office QLH (Qualified License Holder)
Must maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times
