What You Will Do

All aspects of multi‑discipline projects and clients from the proposal process to project closeout

Plan, direct, and coordinate activities including client meetings, public hearings, and public involvement events

Manage time frames and budgets

Anticipate client needs, biases, and preferences and tailor communication and work output accordingly

Lead, coordinate and delegate work to multiple work teams working in multiple locations

Work directly with municipal client staff to deliver CIP programs and/or projects, potentially on‑site in a staff augmentation setting

Formulate, track and meet program and project budgets and schedules

Maintain open and effective communication with clients as well as internal and external stakeholders

Prepare or coordinate preparation of project / client correspondence and documentation

Participate in and lead business development activities to new and existing clients

Plan, lead and participate in client meetings and networking events

Develop new client contacts and relationships in all areas of expertise

Understand alternative funding sources for municipal projects, and ability to secure funding

Act as extension of client City engineering or public works staff in a managerial role and as a Client Manager

Responsible for delivery of services across several WSB disciplines to the client

What You Will Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school

7+ years municipal experience; direct experience working for a municipality is a plus

Registration as a Professional Engineer in Minnesota

Senior Project Manager title for the person with the right experience

Experience in managing municipal CIP programs, projects, clients and staff in this market

History of delivering projects with positive customer service experiences

Develop an understanding of, or even anticipate the client’s needs

Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment; occasional travel or field visits may be required to support
