
Manager, Inventory Control and Compliance

Overview
Inventory control position focused on achieving and maintaining high accuracy and efficient stock management across all stocking locations.
Responsibilities
Achieve and maintain inventory accuracy of 98.0%+
across all stocking locations through cycle counting programs, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
Design, execute, and continuously improve daily/weekly cycle count schedules, discrepancy investigations, and reconciliation processes.
Proactively identify, manage, and dispose of obsolete, excess, and slow-moving inventory; establish obsolescence reserves and drive write-off, liquidation or RTV processes in collaboration with Finance and Procurement teams.
Analyze demand patterns, collaborate with Planning and Production teams to align inventory with forecasts and prevent overstock/stock-out conditions.
Own all inventory-related KPIs (accuracy, shrinkage, turns, days-on-hand, obsolete %, fill rate, etc.) and present performance trends to senior leadership.
Prepare and present weekly/monthly dashboards, ad-hoc reports, and cycle counting inventory results.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or related field strongly preferred.
7+ years of progressive inventory control/warehouse experience may substitute for a degree.
7–10+ years in inventory control, receiving, and warehouse operations within distribution or e-commerce fulfillment.
Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory/managerial role leading a team.
Proven track record of achieving and sustaining inventory accuracy goals and significant reductions in obsolete inventory and shrinkage.
Hands-on experience with major WMS (Manhattan, High Jump, SAP EWM, Blue Yonder, etc.) and ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred).
