About the Role
This is a fully onsite position based in Houston, TX, focused on overseeing day-to-day airfreight operations while supporting a growing team.
You will be responsible for managing shipments end-to-end, ensuring operational efficiency, and acting as a key point of support for both internal teams and clients. This role is ideal for someone with strong operational expertise looking to step into a supervisory position with a clear pathway into broader leadership.
Oversee daily airfreight operations across import and export shipments
Manage shipments end-to-end (A–Z), including documentation, coordination, and delivery
Handle pricing and quoting for airfreight shipments
Ensure compliance with all operational and regulatory requirements
Act as a point of escalation for operational issues and client queries
Coordinate with airlines, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution
Support and guide junior team members within the operations function
Candidate Requirements
Strong experience in airfreight operations within freight forwarding
Proven ability to manage shipments end-to-end (A–Z)
Experience with pricing, quoting, and rate negotiation
Solid understanding of import/export processes and documentation
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is advantageous
