
Mail Processing Technician Part-time

As a Mail Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in the initial stages of our mail processing pipeline. Your primary responsibility is to manually open and inspect all incoming mail with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. This includes carefully extracting and sorting payments (coins, checks, cash) by client and promptly escalating any valuable items to a supervisor. You will be responsible for preparing mail for the next team and ensuring a steady, uninterrupted workflow to consistently meet all service level agreements (SLAs). Your diligent work is essential to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our mail operations.

Part-time (1st Shift) 9:00am-1:00pm

Responsibilities
Carefully open and inspect mail, pulling out coins from reply documents and sorting them by client.
Thoroughly check all documents for any missed notes, checks, or cash, and immediately bring these items to a supervisor.
Process all incoming mail using a counter, rather than high‑speed equipment, to ensure no valuable items are missed.
Prepare all mail for the mail opening team, maintaining a steady workflow to meet all service level agreements (SLAs).
Maintain a high level of accuracy and focus to prevent any disruptions in the mail processing pipeline.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to operate scissor jack for coin transportation.
Ability to keep coin organized by client.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Follows proper safety and PPE protocols.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to multitask.
