ICPC/OCS Case Manager-Hillsborough

What You Will Do
The ICPC-OCS Case Manager is a non-exempt position responsible for direct case management services to children, birth families, foster families and primary caregiver(s), assigned to the program through Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) or Out-of-County Services (OCS). The role ensures that clients receive services appropriate to their needs and continuity of care focused on resolving or preventing child abuse or neglect. The Case Manager provides assessment, planning, coordination, advocacy, and maintains positive working relationships with all parties involved.

Identify strengths, limitations, risk factors, and needs to refer and coordinate services to the child, primary caregiver, and other case participants.

Maintain face‑to‑face contact with children and other parties as required according to state laws, funder requirements, and program policy.

Maintain ongoing communication with all parties.

Notify all parties and ensure attendance at staffings and other required meetings with required documentation.

Notify parents, caregivers, and other case participants of any changes in status, placement, medical/mental health treatment, etc., relative to the child.

Provide information and accompany children to appointments, as necessary.

Transport and supervise children and case participants, including individuals with medical and behavioral health needs.

Strengthen and maintain a positive mentoring role by providing support, training, and crisis intervention to foster parents, birth parents, primary caregiver(s) and other team members involved in the case to ensure child safety and well‑being.

Provide recommendations and documentation related to services rendered within required timeframes to case participants.

Participate in on‑call rotation in accordance with agency policy and program procedures.

Maintain client confidentiality according to established policies, federal and state statutes, as evidenced by obtaining needed releases of information.

What We Offer

$49,500 salary – entry level, non‑certified Case Manager

$51,500 salary – one year of experience as a certified Case Manager

$53,500 salary – three years or more of experience as a certified Case Manager

What You Will Need

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field; related areas of study include Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Special Education, Education, Human Development, Child Development, Family Development, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Nursing.

Or an Associate's degree from an accredited college, 60+ college credits from an accredited college or university, AND one of the following:

Two (2) years of full‑time social work or human services experience.

Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.

Ability to work with individuals that exhibit physically and/or verbally aggressive behaviors.

Ability to work overtime as required.

Use of personal car to transport clients.

Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with proof of auto insurance coverage.
