Overview

Our ProCraft Cabinetry Production Machinery Operator will be accountable for operating table saws, CNC routers, and edge banding machines. The Operator will clean and maintain machinery per the maintenance schedule. Training in machinery will be provided; basic operation knowledge is preferred. The Operator will update job status in the shop floor management software and work with team members to keep to the production schedule. This role reports to the Production Lead/Supervisor. Cross-training across the general production line may be required as directed by the Supervisor and General Manager.
Machine Operation

Produce machine wood parts by programming, setting up, and operating equipment.
Operate table saws, CNC routers, and edge banding machines to produce cabinetry components per specifications.
Set up and adjust machines for each production run, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.
Quality Control

Maintain awareness of production schedule and ProCraft product spec guide.
Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects to meet quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
Safety Compliance

Stay up to date on machine safety training and adhere to safety protocols.
Use PPE and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Table Saw Responsibilities

Measure and cut wood or other materials to specified dimensions using table saws.
Follow technical drawings for accurate cuts and manage off-cuts.
Maintenance And Adjustments

Sharpen and replace saw blades as needed; adjust guides and fences for precision.
CNC Router Responsibilities

Load and configure CNC programs; set up the CNC router with the necessary tools and materials.
Ensure the area is tidy and dust collection is maintained; remake damaged parts and report incidents to the Supervisor.
Label each part for accurate tracking; operate the CNC router to produce parts with high precision.
Tool Management

Change and maintain router bits and tools; perform regular cleaning and lubrication.
Edge Banding Machine Responsibilities

Set up and operate edge banding machines to apply edge bands to cabinetry components; adjust settings for different materials and edge banding types.
Inspect edge-banded components for adhesion and alignment; trim and finish edges to meet quality standards.
Documentation And Reporting

Maintain records of production output, machine maintenance, and quality checks.
Maintain material inventory and report to Supervisor or General Manager as required; report equipment malfunctions or production issues.
Continuous Improvement

Suggest process and equipment improvements to boost productivity and quality; participate in training and development programs.
Team Collaboration

Communication: communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments; assist in other departments as required; collaborate on problem-solving and process improvements.
Training and Mentorship: assist in training new operators and share knowledge with colleagues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good attendance is essential.
Two years of woodworking experience.
Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and specifications; load feeds and verify settings by measurements.
Maintain specifications during drilling, grooving, cutting, and related operations; troubleshoot and adjust processes.
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations; complete preventive maintenance as required.
Document actions to maintain shift continuity; keep logs of production and quality checks.
High school diploma or equivalent; math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
Problem-solving skills; attention to detail and ability to work with precision equipment.
Good physical health, stamina, and ability to lift and move weights as specified.
Effective communication in English (verbal and written); forklift knowledge.
Preferred: experience with table saws, cabinet making, chop saw, CNC router, or edge banding.
Note: This job description does not imply a contract; duties may be adjusted as directed by supervisors or managers. Cross-training in other areas of the warehouse may occur. Work Location: 1030 E University Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85034. Job Type: Full-time. Pay: $18-$25/hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Schedule: 8-hour shift; Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
