
Quality Control Technician

Job Description
Quality Control Technician supports manufacturing and assembly operations for advanced fuel cell components by performing inspections, tests, and documentation to ensure all products meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. In this role, you work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and support high‑reliability production in an innovative clean‑energy environment.
Responsibilities
Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections of components and assemblies to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using hand tools and measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Record detailed inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation and inspection reports in accordance with established procedures.
Identify non‑conforming materials and products, and support root‑cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
Support internal and external quality audits and compliance activities as required by company procedures and quality systems.
Assist with maintaining and organizing quality records to ensure traceability and adherence to quality system requirements.
Communicate inspection results, trends, and quality issues clearly and promptly to manufacturing and engineering teams.
Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Contribute directly to product quality and performance by proactively identifying opportunities to improve inspection processes and standards.
Essential Skills
1–3+ years of experience in a quality control, inspection, or manufacturing technician role.
Proven ability to perform quality inspections on components and assemblies in a manufacturing or laboratory setting.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
Hands‑on experience working with electrical, mechanical, or electro‑mechanical assemblies.
Proficiency using basic inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in documentation and record‑keeping.
Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with quality databases or ERP systems.
Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or lab environment while following established safety and quality procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience supporting root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
Background working within formal quality systems and participating in quality audits.
Strong communication skills to clearly relay inspection results and quality issues to cross‑functional teams.
Interest in clean‑energy and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Motivation to contribute directly to product quality, reliability, and performance in a growing production environment.
Work Environment
This role operates in a combined manufacturing and laboratory environment focused on advanced fuel cell components. You will work around production equipment, test setups, and inspection stations, using hand tools and measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to documented procedures, and continuous improvement while supporting innovative clean‑energy technology development.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Pleasant, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 per hour.
