Quality Technician I (CMM / Inspection)
2nd Shift
The Quality Technician I (CMM / Inspection) role focuses on inspecting raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet blueprint specifications and inspection instructions. This position supports first article, in-process, and final inspections using coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and precision measuring tools on 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
Inspect raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, and finished products to verify conformance to blueprints, specifications, and inspection instructions.
Operate CMM equipment, such as Brown & Sharpe / Hexagon machines, to perform dimensional inspections and generate accurate measurement results and reports.
Use PC-DMIS at a basic working level to run CMM programs, capture data, and produce inspection reports.
Perform detailed dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
Complete first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections in accordance with blueprint and specification requirements.
Assist in making basic edits to CMM and vision inspection programs under the guidance and oversight of a lead or senior technician.
Support the documentation of nonconformances and collaborate with production and engineering teams to help troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
Assist with probe calibration activities and help maintain inspection equipment in proper working condition.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in alignment with 5S standards and company procedures.
Document inspection results clearly and accurately, ensuring proper recordkeeping and traceability for quality audits and process improvement.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bensenville, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
