Quality Technician
The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality standards of incoming materials, in-process and finished products are met. This role involves inspecting materials and products utilizing measuring equipment such as Tape, calipers, micrometers, as well as inspection/data collection programs. In addition, maintain quality standards by approving in-process production and finished product.
Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Read blueprints, understand specifications, and interpret 3-dimensional part features from 2-dimensional drawings
Knowledge of GD&T principles would be a plus to complete inspections as required
Inspection of materials, in-process, and finished products: Visual and measurement testing utilizing basic inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, Tape)
Having previous Keyence CMM and scanner experience a plus
Document inspection results by generating reports as required
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
Continually improve job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and learning new skills to aid in the inspection process
Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing required tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe
Ability to perform PPAP documentation and create documents
Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks
Strong ability to read blueprint drawings with a working knowledge
Working knowledge of weld symbols and weld acceptance criteria
Ability to work with Limited Supervision as well as possess the initiative to report and assist in resolving issues with inspection equipment, programs, & software
Must be detail oriented with a focus on precision and quality in all tasks
