Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled
CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector
to support quality assurance operations in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect complex metal parts and assemblies, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Program and operate CMM equipment (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar) to inspect complex parts and assemblies
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to develop accurate inspection routines
Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections
Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot dimensional issues and improve processes
Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance schedules for inspection equipment
Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, and customer-specific quality standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
2–3 years of experience in CMM programming and operation in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with CMM software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent
Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
Experience with metal fabrication processes such as welding, forming, or CNC machining preferred
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
