Business Unit: Systems and Support

Function: Operations

TRIUMPH designs, engineers, manufactures, repairs and overhauls a broad portfolio of aviation and industrial components, accessories, subassemblies, systems and aircraft structures. We partner with OEMs and operators worldwide to provide solutions that meet the specialized needs of each customer.

Responsibilities
Performs all required assembly operations, including using manual press for shelling, operating roll former and 5‑point staker, performing inspection/checking duties on assemblies, rework and repair operations, disassembly, finishing procedures, removing burrs and other surface defects, alloying tubular units and re‑alloying as needed. Supports braze and engineering tasks and helps maintain a dynamic, team‑oriented work cell.

All applicable assembly processes.

Maintain all required data and records in a complete and timely manner.

Utilize any and all hand tools.

Rework and repair parts per aerospace standards.

Consistently comply with all safety policies and work procedures.

Monitor fixtures that need repair and inform supervision.

Maintain cleanliness of workplace and equipment, free of FOD.

Ability to mix and apply alloy.

Ability to run both roll former and 5‑point staker.

Understand method of using arbor press to assemble shells to bundles.

Follow tube crimping procedures.

Understand how to clad headers.

Use stop‑off where required.

Understand the need to square fixtures up before assembly.

Use fiber fax as required on units.

Operate overhead crane when needed.

Measure core heights after build to meet specifications.

Work with engineering to improve processes as needed.

May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes (not over OSHA permissible exposure levels).

Ability to train other employees, as needed.

Qualifications

Ability to read and write, interpret measurements and readings, exercise sound independent judgment.

Read blueprints and work instructions.

Move parts and equipment safely and practically.

Interact appropriately with others in a team environment and willingness to assist, educate and train others.

Use hand tools and inspect gauges.

Comply with all safety and health rules and regulations, including respiratory protection program and hearing conservation.

Must comply with FAA requirements for “safety sensitive” position.

Must have a high school diploma or GED.

US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).

Work Environment And Physical Demands
No excessive noise or fumes; employee is required to sit, talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands to carry or handle tools & controls, occasionally reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
