American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum) position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience, NRP certification, and a Kansas or compact RN license.
Details
Acute care hospital LDRP unit with 8 LDRP beds, 2 OB Triage beds, 1 C-section OR, and 4 Special Care Nursery beds
Approximately 40 deliveries per month
Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines: Labor 1:1, Postpartum couplet care 1:3–4, Special Care Nursery 1:1–2
All staff provide care across the full scope of LDRP activities: labor, vaginal delivery, C-section circulator (OR), recovery, postpartum, and newborn care (initial and routine)
Charting system: Cerner
12‑hour night shifts, 3x12 schedule (1845–0715)
Weekend requirement: every third weekend on nights
No on‑call responsibilities
Floating not required; cross‑unit coverage based on individual competency
12‑week contract
Requirements
Active RN license — Kansas (KS) or compact state license
Minimum 2 years of L&D or LDRP experience
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
STABLE certification required (may be worked around if not currently held)
Cerner EMR experience strongly recommended
Additional Information
Scrubs are provided by the facility (light pink top, gray bottoms)
No formal orientation hours are built into the contract; orientation dates are structured around specific start cycles
BSN is not required for this position
