Communicates with families, physicians, and other health care professionals
Maintains daily, thorough documentation of services in the EMR
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Doctoral, Masters, or Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy
New graduate applicants welcome; experienced therapists also encouraged
Actively licensed as a VA Occupational Therapist

PRN
A PRN therapist is part of an on‑call pool of therapists who work on a per diem basis. PRN stands for the Latin term "pro re nata," which means "as needed." As a PRN therapist, the organization will send patient assignments for the therapist to follow the POC when an extra therapist is needed. PRN work offers flexibility and diverse experiences. Key aspects:
Flexible schedule: PRN therapists choose when they work and can accept or decline cases based on availability.
Variety of settings: Work in ALF and residential home settings, gaining experience across different patient populations.
Higher rates: Although PRN positions may lack benefits, they often offer a higher rate of pay.
No long‑term contracts: Therapists can take assignments without being tied to a specific facility for an extended period.
Weekend and holiday shifts: May be called upon to cover weekend or holiday shifts, often with premium pay rates.
Skill maintenance: Keeps therapists engaged and sharpens clinical skills through exposure to diverse cases.
