Position Summary
The pharmacy technician must work with pharmacy staff, Quality Correctional Care staff, and county staff to provide medications to inmates and facilities.
Mandatory Functions
Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations
Comply with court orders, medical department rules and the policies and procedures of Quality Rx
Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate therapy, and interactions and communicate
Assist pharmacist by accurately and efficiently processing, packaging, and dispensing prescriptions
Remove outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory
Closely manage inventory in a cost-effective manner
Recommend improved procedures, equipment, and supplies to supervisor
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Present/participate in in-service education sessions
Maintain professional attitude at all times
Any and all duties as assigned
Requirements
Pharmacy technician must be licensed in the state of Indiana. Closed door pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.
Position Details
This is a full-time position, M-F, 8AM-4PM with flexibility for overtime when needed.
