Provides state of the art nutrition education in a variety of settings to patients and their families/care partners, helping to optimize their specific disease management.

Clinically focuses on cardiovascular disease, diabetes and weight management.

Participates in the development of educational materials.

Serves as a resource for quality diabetes nutrition information for patients and other health care team members.

Screens patients for nutrition problems; counsels patients on modified diets; develops and implements nutrition care plans; assists with CQI/PI for programs.
