Yuba Sutter SPCA is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our dedicated team in a high-quality, high-volume spay
euter and vaccination clinic. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact every day by supporting lifesaving spays and neuters, preventive medicine, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced, nonprofit clinic environment.
Compensation
Starting wage: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications
Current California Registered Veterinary Technician license in good standing.
Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience, preferably in general practice, surgery, or high-volume spay
euter practice.
Strong anesthesia induction, monitoring, and patient recovery skills.
Excellent technical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, structured clinical setting.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Essential Responsibilities
Efficiently prepare patients for spay and neuter surgery.
Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia safely and efficiently.
Assist veterinarians during high-volume surgical procedures.
Administer vaccines, medications, and treatments accurately.
Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, blood collection, and laboratory support.
Monitor patient condition throughout all stages of care.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Support efficient patient intake, surgical flow, and discharge.
Assist with vaccine clinic operations and preventive care services.
Provide clear client education regarding post-operative care and preventive medicine.
Maintain strict sanitation, infection control, and surgical standards.
