Overview

TrustPoint Hospital is seeking a Clinical Assistant Director of Intake. Now accepting RN, LMSW, or LCSW applicants. Salary: $80,000-$90,000. Consistent afternoon/evening schedule — ideal if you prefer having mornings free. (Full schedule details discussed during the interview.) TrustPoint Hospital is a state-of-the-art treatment center that provides an array of medical and psychiatric services on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Our Murfreesboro, Tennessee location offers care to patients requiring acute physical medicine and rehabilitation, adult, adolescent and geriatric psychiatry, and medical psychiatry. Purpose

Direct the facility admissions activities by driving the admissions process, developing, implementing and maintaining revenue-generating strategies.

Essential Functions

Leadership & Operations

Lead the Admissions Department and foster a strong, collaborative team culture

Execute business development/marketing strategies related to admissions

Oversee crisis triage, evaluations, intakes, and admissions

Assign and distribute evaluations/intakes based on requests and census

Ensure department compliance with all laws, regulations, and internal policies

Develop departmental goals and drive efficiency and quality of services

Quality & Compliance

Conduct QA/QI programs for all admissions-related services

Ensure EMTALA documentation is completed for every patient

Provide follow-up communication and recommendations to leadership

Training & Staff Development

Train, supervise, and support admissions staff

Provide orientation, in-service training, and continuing education

Serve as a preceptor for new team members

Promote teamwork, trust, and professional communication

Clinical & Patient Care

Prioritize admissions based on patient needs and facility capability

Apply appropriate clinical assessment, diagnosis, and intervention knowledge

Serve as a clinical liaison with referral sources

Maintain a positive, empathetic, professional attitude toward patients and families

Address and resolve patient concerns with a focus on safety

Shift Responsibilities

Plan, assign, and supervise shift duties to ensure patient safety and departmental efficiency

Other Functions

Perform additional duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a social services field is required.

Master’s degree in a social services field or RN is preferred.

Two or more years’ experience in a healthcare admissions role is preferred.

Licenses/Designations/Certifications

May require licensure by the state for this position.

CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

First aid may be required based on state or facility.
