
Hospital Phlebotomist - Casual/PRN

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile, AL. This is a casual/per diem position with hours as needed. The role involves performing blood collections and specimen processing, data entry, billing, and providing customer service across various sites.
Job Responsibilities
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
Enter patient information accurately and timely
Process billing information and collect payments as needed
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist
Preferred Qualifications
2 years or more of phlebotomy experience
Additional Job Standards
Certification from an accredited agency required if no work experience
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Reliable transportation
Flexibility to work overtime
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
